VINTAGE car enthusiasts can spend heaps of money and time faithfully restoring their pride and joys to original condition.

But others prefer to freeze their faded gems in time.

A group of 16 Morris Minor owners, who did a 1940km tour of southeast Australia in October, spotted this Morris Minor ute (pictured) parked in the main street of Cooma, NSW.

It is parked there on weekends by its owner, Ken, a local mechanic, who puts a surrey umbrella on top and an arrow pointing to his wife's lolly and coffee shop.

When asked if he would be giving it a fresh coat of paint, Ken said, "I might just give it another coat of lacquer".
