StopTech® recognizes that great brakes need to look as good as they perform. Performance wheels and tires are best complemented with StopTech® Slotted, Cross-Drilled or Drilled & Slotted Sport Rotors.

StopTech® slotted, drilled and drilled & slotted brake rotors prevent glazing of the pads, add bite and improve wet and dry braking performance.

Every StopTech® Sport Rotor is produced from a high quality Centric Parts® blank casting and finished in a durable e-coating for corrosion resistance.

FEATURES

  • Direct replacement, stock-sized rotors that fit stock calipers
  • Increased initial bite response
  • Improved wet weather response
  • Reduced brake pad glazing
  • OE vane designs, including casting part line location
  • Machining designs engineered for optimal rotor integrity
  • Double-disc ground for a consistent friction surface and better pad bed-in
  • Mill-balanced for vibration-free performance
  • Black e-coating on non-friction surfaces provides lasting, attractive looks
  • Enhances open wheel appearance

*E-Coated Finish*
Every SportStop rotor is finished with black e-coating on both sides of the hat, inside the the cooling vanes, and on the outside edge. E-coating is a superior electro-statically applied finish designed to withstand 400 hours of salt water exposure without rusting. This is especially important on both mounting faces of the hat where it touches the hub flange and back face of the wheel. Any accumulation of rust in these area can lead to installed lateral run out issues.

*Power Alloy Metallurgy*
Power Alloy metallurgy is exclusive feature of SportStop rotors. In specific vehicle applications, StopTech works with foundry partners to increase the molybdenum or carbon content of the castings, and to carefully control the cooling rate during production to reach targets for hardness and tensile strength.

*Cooling Vane Design*
Nearly all SportStop cross-drilled rotors have unique drilled hole patterns for the left and right sides of the vehicle. For these directional patterns, straight vane or pillar vane rotors are used to ensure that a drilled hole never touches a cooling vane.

Slotted Rotors
Excessive heat can cause resins in your brake pad to vaporize or "outgas." As the brake pad wears, the used friction material turns into a fine dust. This boundary layer of heat, gas and dust builds up between the pad and rotor surfaces and inhibits performance. Here's where StopTech SportStop slotted brake rotors make a big difference. StopTech® Slotted Sport Rotors are a true performance rotor.

Features

Every StopTech® Sport Rotor  is produced from a high quality Centric Parts blank casting and finished in a durable e-coating for corrosion resistance.

  • Power Alloy castings (on select applications)
    • Engineered Performance Rotor
    • Superior resistance to cracking due to thermal stress
    • Increased molybdenum (higher carbon)content that extends reliability, service life and helps reduce NVH “noise” issues
    • Rotor material is a direct descendant of the patented AeroRotor from StopTech
  • Introducing directional curve vane design (on select applications)
    • Improved vane design or OE equivalent on all rotors
    • Center split castings
  • New short slot design runs perpendicular to the vane to preserve rotor strength
  • Direct OE Replacement
  • Improved wet weather response
  • Increased initial “bite”
  • Double disc ground for a consistent friction surface and Improved pad bed-in
