Question:
I am located in Brisbane Australia. I own two MkIII Sprites. I am interested in upgrading both front and rear suspension and braking systems. Do you sell kits? Do you ship to Australia?
Answer:

Yes, we do ship to Australia and we do carry some upgrade kits:

Not sure what kind of suspension upgrades you're after but I'm suspecting a tube shock conversion?

Question:
Does the installation of this kit lessen braking pedal pressure?
Answer:
It depends on how your car stops right now, I suppose.
But it's hard to say in that the disc braking system is still manual (ie, non-boosted, no servo). The car should have better-stopping power but the pedal feel should be similar especially since you use the same master cylinder. Of course, if you're really having to mash the brake pedal now to get the car to stop then yes, this kit would definitely help in that regard.

Question:
Does this conversion require that the lower A-arms be changed...?
Answer:
No, the A-Arms were always the same on the Sprites & Midgets except that the really early ones weren't drilled for the front ant-sway bar brackets. Other than that they're identical. The kingpins for the drum brake spindles are different though, that's why this kit comes with the disk brake types.

Question:
Did the Bugeyed Sprite ever have factory-fitted disk Brakes or were they available as a period aftermarket upgrade at the time?
Answer:
The later models came with disc brakes from the factory. If you have the drum brake set up, the kit you listed is correct.

Question:
I'm looking at upgrading my front suspension of my to-be-acquired 1959 Bugeye as well as upgrading to front disc brakes. Can I skip some suspension upgrade components that might already be in the brake upgrade kit?
Answer:
Hi ,

The suspension components will be the same; the lower A-arms, the coil springs, and the lever shocks. None of that changes from a drum brake car when doing the conversion to disc brakes. The stub axles (and king pins) are changed but the actual suspension parts stay the same. Upgrades can be done, of course, but aren't required when doing the conversion. You can always do a tube shock conversion later and maybe change the coil springs if you're not digging the ride.

Hope this helps, Mini Mania

Question:
Other than a larger master cylinder,is there anything else I need to convert my 1960 bugeye, drums to disc brakes? Do you know of any videos showing the conversion?
Answer:
You don't necessarily have to change the dual master on your Bugeye when converting to front discs. Disc brakes were standard on the Spridgets from 1962 onward and the dual (clutch and brake) master cylinder was retained through 1966 (though the cylinder bores were reduced from 7/8" to 3/4"). I would ask on the Healey forums as this is a common upgrade for Bugeyes.

I don't know of any videos out there but you can always search YouTube.
