The most common sheet metal problem on the Minor is rusted floor panels. The floor has numerous spots where water can get in and eventually rust the floor. The original floor is all one piece and would be extremely difficult to replace that way. The solution is the grid system. Floor pans have been produced to allow individual replacement of each side of the front or rear floor. These panels are designed to be replacements, not cover-ups; simply cut out the old floor and weld in the new. Extra metal is provided for overlap seams if desired.

Question:
I am restoring a friends 1959 Morris Minor convertible and need passenger side front and rear floor pans. I see the rear ones, but no front ones. Could you please advise on if a passenger side one is available also.
Answer:

Here's the right front floor pan:

When  you say "passenger side" which I'm assuming means the passenger side on a left hand drive car (ie, the front right side).

Customer Response:

That is correct this is a left hand drive car. Do these floor pans work in the convertibles, as it says it’s for Sedan and traveler? I will need all four pieces to completely return floor pan to original quality and don’t want to start cutting until I get these ordered and in hand.

Morris Minor Tech Team Response:
Yes, sedan and convertible are the same when it comes to the floor pans.
