1.75 Bore Budget Priced Lcb Manifold - Mini Cooper & S
$132.95 1.75 Bore Budget Priced Lcb Manifold - Mini Cooper & S

MINI Standard bore LCB (1-3/4"id) that is ideal for very hot small bore Mini or Mini Cooper engines, for standard to high performance Mini Cooper 1275s, and for street Mini Cooper 1380s. The best quality production manifold is made by Maniflow. The Long Center Branch exhaust manifold design has been proven to be the best all-around for our Mini Cooper 5 port cylinder heads. Bore diameter being the only other variable. For the same manifold in stainless steel, see C-AEG365S. For BIG bore LCB see C-AHT289.

The C-AEG365 manifold has downpipes with 1.5" OD into the collector (Y-Piece), the single exit from the collector has a OD of 1.89"

How to pick the correct exhaust manifold for Classic Mini Coopers
Created: September 28, 2000
The third stroke, that following the compression stroke, of our four stroke Mini engine is the only one producing power. The other three consume it. Here we’re looking at with exhaust manifolds, so what we need to consider is how to minimise power consumed on the exhaust stroke as the piston pushes the spent gases out.

Fitting and sealing a challenge
By:
Obviously this is the one to buy but I wanted to point out that my new LCB has been terrible in 1. Clearance: the left side of the tunnel at the collector, and the drive flange and 2. Sealing at the collector. I ended up painting it white to catch the leaks coming out of the collector at both ends plus using that white exhaust patch stuff and very careful tightening. Clearance problems at the tunnel just seems inexcusable to me on a high-quality Maniflow product. Also, it just barely clears the drive flange - after you spend an hour hauling on it to get it to clear. I had to yank and pry mine so hard I am surprised the welds held.
