Same bump stop as fitted to MGB, this was utilised by ST Works Abingdon to go on their bump stop kits C-AJJ3313/4007 for hydrolastic minis.
Question:
I have a '66 Cooper S with hydro suspension. Recently I had to replace a front displacer and the rear bumpstops. Afterwards I pumped up the pressure on both sides. Now the rear of the car sits higher than the front on both sides. Is there a way to adjust so the front and rear are level?
Answer:
Minis are "supposed" to sit higher in the rear
I've been told that about + 2" higher in the rear is normal, and even a worn front displacer won't make it lower in the front, just would leak. Just to be certain, when you pumped up the pressure in the rear, you didn't fill it with air, correct? might be too high of pressure.
