Steering Rack Dampening Pad Shim .003 | Sprite & Midget | Morris Minor

It's important that the steering rack on the Spridgets and Morris Minors is supple but not too stiff in operation. Luckily, both models are lightweight vehicles but setting the dampening of the rack is important to keep the correct amount of friction between the pinion and the sliding rack. These shims, used with the dampening pad, increase or reduce the frictional free play and make the rack smooth in operation. Size is .003" - use as needed as this is the only size currently available.
