Thank you I appreciate your response.  The picture I originally included was just of the three parts that I wasn't sure in the sequence they went back in.  After looking at the diagram on Somerford I felt I knew the correct sequence.  But to be on the same side I purchased a complete auto filter from my used parts supplier in the UK.

Thanks again.

Terry

I think your picture is missing a few bits.  I looked but didn't find a parts diagram on our host's site.

Try this one: https://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/oil-filters-and-oil-pipes  Hover the mouse over a part to highlight p/n and description.

I dont have automatics any more, but my recollection is the 27H6799 bolt has a groove for the spring clip, so when you lay out all the parts and see where the clip must go to hold the spring and pressure plate, it becomes fairly obvious what goes where.

So I was trying my best to carefully remove the internals to my automatic oil filter, but things just don't always work out.  Does anyone know in which sequence the pictured parts are put back in or have an automatic diagram?

Thank you

Terry
