The Mk1 mini shell is available from our host for $20,000 now, I would think that would help drive up the price of solid original shells!

From what I understand the new shells are good, but have some differences from an original

A long time mini owner just contacted me wanting to sell her 1961 mini. Same color as this seller. I guess it's was a early popular color. It's located on Long Island in NY.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'll clean it up and take better pics before I post it.

Based on what I see, an asking price of around $7500 with the 1275 and the other mini spares would not be a rude posting price. that looks to be a really clean MK1 body.

Does it need any rust repair(s) ?
Is it registered in Florida? (or whatever the USA terminology is....papers, ownership, tags etc.)

If no rust repairs are needed and it's in your name (papers) Gotta be worth a couple thousand dollars.

I think most buyers will go with the 1275 and not involve themselves in a Honda project, which is a whole 'nother level.

I'd probably offer it as $3500 complete, or $2750 w/o the Honda engine........then sell that for $1000 separate if it comes to it.  You could
put that on craigslist and sell it tomorrow (the Honda engine)

I'm in NW Florida. The shell is unmodified so no flares. I'll try to add some pics. Will have to look up how first.

Thanks!

chief,
you might want to put the state you live in as it might draw local interest.  I'd not want to ship a shell an tons of bits across the country.
Also some pix would help.  Are the wheel arches chopped for flares and larger tires?   Pictures please.  and location.

Well, I need to admit that I'm never going to get around to finishing my mini and I'm bailing out. Been sitting on the project for 20 years and haven't kept up with the community so I have no idea what these are going for now. I did look through the for sale section, but mine is somewhat unique so that didn't help. Any suggestions regarding price? I know this is not the right thread to list something for sale, but it's not technically for sale here, just looking for opinions on price. Once I can figure out what it's worth, I'll either list it in the Classified section or bail out of bailing out and put it back together to sell as complete and running (wife's not gonna like that option though).

1962 mini, prior SCCA Solo 1 car, so virtually no interior with rear roll bar and 5pt harnesses. Everything is very basic. Car was complete and running good ~2000 when I thought it threw a rod and engine seized (car garaged then). Turns out that was not the problem, but anyway, I was into the whole honda thing at the time so I decided to go vtec and got rid of the 1275. In the meantime, kids, jobs, etc. and its not done. Was accumulating parts for the vtec swap when progress stalled, didn't cut the car so can go back original or vtec at this point. Car is pretty much complete and body is in good condition with the exceptions of a few chips here and there and a few spots of rust just starting to bubble.

Includes a truly impressive haul of spares. Multiple options for hubs, brakes, shifters, a roughly complete 1275 in unknown condition, single SU, dual SU, multiple webbers, multiple bumpers, other misc new parts.

Also have a Honda ZC DOHC engine/trans shipped from japan with all associated parts, shifters, ecu, wiring, axles. This one I know, should easily bring $1k-ish sold separately.

So I'm guessing the mini stuff (complete shell, 1275, and spares) would be somewhere between 2k and 10k with both ends being pretty crazy. Any suggestions?
