The owners manual doesn't say much. We probably need the fault codes to be able to make any useful recommendations. Anytime a warning light is illuminated on the dash, there should be a fault code recorded in the computer.
According to the owners manual, the half engine in yellow indicates:
Full engine power no longer available
You can continue your journey, but moderate your speed and exercise due caution. Have the engine checked as soon as possible.

Help!! - 2012 Countryman with 98000 - recently the half power "half orange engine" light has started appearing. When I turn the car off and restart it, the light is gone for a few hundred miles then randomly comes back on. I have noticed no change in performance and no other "check engine" lights come on. I have not yet attached my code reader as I don't know if the "halfpower" indicator generates codes. I have researched it and have found references to cam sensors, ignition coils, throttle body you name it. Any experiences or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. John
