Al,

Sorry to high jack your message!  I have a problem with the hydrolastic system on the left side of our '69 S.  The metal bottom of the knuckle joint is facing me as I look at it.  It appears that at some point in time, the car was picked up while the system was down and now that the rubber boot has fallen apart, the issue is visible.

I am attempting to find a pump to extract the left side and then refill after repairs are made.  Any ideas on possible solutions for a pump?  I am attempting to make on from an old grease gun while researching pumps.  I have found one at mini mania for 900 bills, a schwaben one for 200 (I am not sure if it would even work).

I sure hope Bronte happens in 2022!  Our Sunbeam club Tigers East/Alpines East is planning on having our United there then.  I have heard lots about this show and have never been there.  See you next year-if they let us cross the border.......

normally l would be getting ready for Bronte this coming Sunday......but no.....Covid killed it (no pun intended), so another boring week end

Going to miss the 1000 plus Brit cars and 10,000 spectators, some with dogs, some with trophy wives  on their arms( Jaguar types)

Maybe 2022 will be better

no Jim, Insurance is not the issue. ,

the main reason is that that we are currently under lock down due to an alarming rate of covid here in Ontario

The Bronte Provincial Park in which the show is held is a Provincial Park andthey follow the Ontario Government orders to the law

Only a miracle can help us now

Ironically it was only this past Sunday that Ancaster Auto Jumble was cancelled, the other large annual Brit car festival of the year in Ontario

I would suspect the high cost of insurance is the reason. Insurance companies don't want to be on the hook.

When l was surfing the TTC website, they had a long explanation as to why it was still uncertaint
if Bronte would  be held this year and then a picture of the site with “ Cancelled “ emblazoned on the pic

l expect a more formal notice on this shortly

It is almost as if all car shows have “Titanic “ written all over them and the iceberg is looming

Still sucks
