I've heard to check the crank pos sensor as it fails intermittently

What oil are you running?? Changed mine from 20/50 to 10/40 for the winter when I couldn't get it started. Once I could get it started it started every time...just that first start.

Before you throw away the sensor put a multimeter to it to see if it's still good.

Check to see if the heater element on the bottom of the intake is working.

Thanks for your reply Kermy
All new Vacuum Lines
Just not getting enough gas for that initial cold start
Once started runs great

Quite often fuel injection Mini problems are caused by splits in the vacuum lines and/or the vacuum line elbows.

Hi
After tightening the exhaust header and getting everything back together, my 1991 Mini 1275 SPI 4-Speed will no longer start when cold unless I spray Starting Fluid down the Air Cleaner
When engine warms, it starts instantly
At this point I have checked Immobilizer, Grounds, and slowly have replaced almost all components of the SPI, including new Fuel Pump
I'm stumped
Can anyone recommend a good Service Center in the Greater New York area or suggest what else to check?
Thank You
