He covered them in his original post title (SuperCooper, David Brown, etc)

Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

The absolute best Mini Restoration shop in the world is Boot 2 Bonnet in Woodland California. Nick isn't cheap, but all his work is perfect! He doesn't cut corners and knows Minis inside and out.

There's a '69 Cooper'S' in Alberta posted again on Kijiji in the Classic Cars section under 'mini cooper' for a search description. He's had it listed off and on over the past couple or so years. Maybe more than two years. Classic stock set up. But he wants $45K CDN. Update: That seller has now just bumped the price up to $50K CDN on Kijiji, and then recently has it advertised on this site for $53K USD, which is like $70K CDN. Not sure what's going on there.

But if a build is what you want, I've been talking with Tyler at Gildred Racing (SuperCoopers) and he seems to know his stuff and is a reasonable 'chap' to talk to and deal with. He gone through all types of variations of set ups and power plants, etc,.
The David Brown versions are quite hefty on the bank account though. Can't speak for any experience with them.

You know that there's a major cost difference between the two builders right? David Brown's are an insane $135K CDN for their classic and SuperCoopers (Gildred Racing) classic is around $70K CDN.

Brit Bits is in your city.....probably many classic MINI owners shop there.

Hello there!

Looking to potentially do a full classic rebuild, in classy style, with one of these outfits.  Anyone have any experience or recommend any other shops?

Pros and cons/thoughts on this sort of thing (financial hit aside, haha)?

Cheers!
