I live on a court, and the neighbors kids all had aftermarket HID lights in their Toyota’s right after installing fart can exhausts. Really nice in the winter when they were warming up the car, it would light up the living room like there were space aliens landing just outside. Thankfully they have outgrown it.

Same happened about 10 years ago When HID  Setups arrived to the market when any Joe Blow could install.   Putting a Overpowerful lamp into a Halogen lamp has no filter or cutoff should not be used... YES i did this  too to my 1998 Volvo =  I could see everything, but im sure i blinded everyone else.
Now today LED technology has caught up with direct install bulbs for about 100$   plug and play . BRIGHT lights.

OEM Car makers too i think are over Lighting many ways too  - As mentioned F150 = or ANY modern car now... Our low posture to the TALL SUV world doesnt help!

I was in front of a HOnda / LExus the other day and his HID Cutoff was right in my mirror line( not my mini, but normal sedan)

Not enjoyable, Agreed.

Oh my Dog! Have you been head on with one of the new F150's? Those things have like 8 different sets of lights on the front, and I'm not sure they come with off switches, because they seem to always be on.

It seems to have got rapidly worse recently.

Its headlamp wars now in the UK.

I notice that the latest BMW minis in particular are very bad for blinding me.

I thought they were supposed to have automatic headlamp levelling to prevent this.

Many cars have twin dip beams too which makes them look like they're on main beam.

I flash them all - not that they notice.

Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

Couple more weeks before I put my 93 Mini up for the winter.  So, a dry day and I thought I'd go for a short drive and stop to get some dinner.  Sun goes down here in Oregon at 4:30 so it was dark when I took off.  Boy it's bad enough when you are sitting 3 feet off the ground and those headlites are right at your level but the LED lites or whatever you call them are really bad.
