The supercharger pulley upgrade should not be a problem on a higher mileage MINI provided the car was and is properly maintained.

There is always the possibility that the increase in boost may expose parts in the system that were 'marginal' and about to fail, but these should be repairable. We have never heard of the pulley causing any catastrophic failures.

I have an 06 r53 with 142k miles on it and I was thinking about changing the supercharger oil and putting a 15% pulley on it but with the higher milage I didn't know if it would be a good idea, I'm not trying to damage anything.
