The way the 1nzfe is designed, its not that easy to check the mains. Its a 2 piece block with a splash guard above the oil pump. When I yank the oil pan, everything looked great. Next will be the valve cover.

So far everything is looking positive, just would like to know that LKQ was not out to hose people. So far, I believe I am just going move forward and get it back in the car. Spent 6 years on this project and the first motor spun a bearing on first start up. Even after priming..

Install that thing and rip it..
Every day passed is another day into LKQ's warranty period....

Modern engines are quite tough... not like an old iron lump that  requires rebuilds every 50K...

If it has a timing belt. probably a good time to refresh that . other than that.. move along.

I have a nice wrinkle painted cover that will be going on it, so it will be the perfect time to check.

might be worth pulling the valve cover off and seeing  how clean it is.  Or rusty. ..

spend $19.99 and get yourself one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/CLY-Semi-Rigid-Inspection-Megapixels-Smartphone/dp/B07K21JM94/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=endoscope+wifi&qid=1572747105&s=industrial&sr=1-13

stick it down in the sparkplug hole and see what it's like on the inside. I was skeptical until I got one. Friggin' awesome.

Its a 2012 motor, thats correct. LKQ said it has 27k on it. When i got it, the paper work says 7k.. But it looks like it has 107k. Pretty corroded, then again it did come from canada.

2012 motor with so little miles on it has been sitting SOMEWHERE when not driving...

And I'm sure it's not inside the Yaris with the hood down while waiting for you to buy it.

Hey everyone,
Could someone confirm the mileage on a vin for me?

LKQ Says the engine for my engine swap has only 27k on it but it looks pretty rough : (
