 should i buy 2005 mini auto?

NO.. and btw way. the new MINI is a BMW..  get some cajones and buy a classic mini.. later bc

Assuming you are looking at a Cooper and not a Cooper S, the CVT automatic in the Cooper is 'fragile'. The design has not changed so even if it is a brand new transmission, it is still the same 'weak' design.

If this is a Cooper S, the Aisin automatic is a much better unit than the CVT in the Cooper non-S.

I would not. Either learn to drive a stick or get after 2006 model.

Hi all,
I am a big fan of minis and i have a chance to buy a 2005 mini automatic. It has a brand new transmission, they also replaced the front brake pad rotors and wear sensors and the valve cover gasket. I know this years model had transmission issues and am wondering if the new transmission will have the kinks worked out or if it is still not worth the risk and i should wait and try and find a newer model?
