A code reader is a good investment, especially since you can use it on all the modern cars.

Let us know what you find out!

Thanks for your response. I'm taking it over to the Shreveport dealer next week to have them give it a once over.  I also bought a Innova Mini Cooper OBD2 engine diagnostic code reader & reset scan tool for this car. I figure with all the electrical issues that I read about with the Mini's it would be a good tool to have my tool box. I will run the test light down all the fuses, box(s) and relays to see if anything has grounded out or volatage issuses. Got the subscription to all the tech repair an manitenace manuals as well when I purchased the reader. Started to wonder if the Atlas Lift I bought for my shop was going to pay dividends, looks like i might be using it a few times with this car.

Thanks again kenatminimania!

Most of the lighting is controlled by the Footwell Module (FRM) located behind the drivers side kick panel. Some electrical gremlins have been solved by a simple reload of the FRM software by the dealer....

You might check for corrosion in the connectors at the FRM....

BMW MINI, lots of electronics! Classic Mini, SIMPLE! Enjoy your modern, reliable, German automobile! Hey guys, his interior light don't work...does the interior light work on your Classic Mini? Probably not, but who cares? Drive the snot out of it. Next you'll say the heated seats aren't working. WWWWAAAAAHHHHH!

Hello everyone!! Just bought a 2011 Mini Clubman for my son. Had the car about 2 days and got and engine light code on the center console and red car a lift light on the driver's cluster (DIC). No mini place around here so went back to where we got error from the Diag stated their was a cam shaft sensor fault/ bank 2 is what I belive they said it was; also the rear brake pads needed replacement. Last night I went to pick up the part to replace and now I have the same red car on lift light but no interior lights at all (dash, AC controls, steering wheel, drivers cluster etc.)  Headlights work but fog lights and switchin to high beams is not possible. Down at the dealership they disconnected the battery so I'm worndering if they may have blown a fuse/relay when it was reconnected or is this a reset procedure like a lot of things on this car from what I have read so far.  Has anyone else run into this issue and how do you correct it. I'm a mustang guy and if it was on that car I could fix it in a minute but I find myself in the dark (literally) witht the Mini. Closet Mini dealer is also 110 miles away, which sucks if numerous trips for things like this will be needed.  ANY help is grealty appreicated.
