If you have problems with that new a car driving that far then something is wrong.  I just finished trip of 5200km to EMW2019 in Snowmass Village and back home.. no issues in my 89 Mini..  You should be fine.

Check the basics before you go - fluids, tire pressure etc.
Ditto!

And a flat tire plug kit & air compressor unless you have runflats or a spare with tire change tools...

AAA road aid does not require their insurance. I have their RV plus card, good for up to a 100 mile flat bed tow anywhere I tell them. It costs around $80 a year. Even if I am in someone else's car, they will tow it. They do get a little prickly if you use it more than a couple of times in a year.

I never paid one third of that for a car, nor have I ever had one with a warrantee. If you can't drive around the world 3 times with it, consider yourself burnt. If you're not handy, get insurance with a free towing service like triple A, and make friends with a good mechanic.

Wow thanks again to onetim for the encouragement plus more insightful information. That was really what i needed to hear and everyone for their replies and input. I really love this Mini Countryman because its got lots of good and bad history. I met my wife with it and she loves the car. Not planning on trading it either.

If your warranty has expired you are no longer tied to just the dealer for repairs or service. See if you can find a good independent shop near you. Things that were fixed should stay fixed. Purchase a service manual for your Mini, you will be surprised what you can fix or maintain on your own with just a few basic tools. Take a community college auto repair class, even if you end up not working on your own car, having some idea of what's going on with the repair can save you big money just by keeping them honest.

A cell phone and road aid is all you really need if the car breaks down on the road. A good read of your owners manual is important to know what all the lights and symbols mean, some you can drive with, some usually red ones mean you need to pull over now and shut it off.

The best way to get the most of your $46,000 is to keep driving it.

Thank you all for the advise. Yes I do have Continental runflats but no spare. I am still nervous about it because i dont have anymore warranty. I finally finished paying off my Mini on the end of June it cost me more than $46,000 brand new at the time. I have had issues with the Window not working and the passenger door not shutting or closing. Luckily they were covered at the time. I really hate the dealership and my Mini has to go through BMW of course.
