Noise in new head

Do you know if the cam bearings on the head were line bored? This may have changed the geometry / clearance of the lifters.
I presume you have not changed the viscosity of the engine oil.

Just replaced the head on the 2002 mini cooper base model. It seems to make a lifter noise on cold starts. The noise fades after warm up but i don't remember a noise like that before. Do you think it could be the hydraulic lifter and if so, can they be adjusted?
