Big thanks go out to Dion and Melanie for organizing a fun filled, low key, multi-day event, and for hosting us at their home (Mini Acres) for the picnic on Friday evening. A fine time was had by all.

Same goes for a mini show at Coco Beach FL back about that time, not sure if it was a F L A M E event but Windsor was there, a nice rig and enclosed trailer chuck full of premium parts, unbelievable hard to find items at give away prices, in fact name your own price
Boy did l clean up

In fact he had a woman with him and she seemed to calling the shots (Wife), p*** whipped ?

I think he also had an original Paul Smith, first one l ever saw

Nice Guy, too bad he left the scene

I think the Twini at the 2002 ST was Windsors - we saw it at Haynes Museum a few months ago in the carpark during a Sunday morning breakfast meet.

I wondered why I hadn't heard anything from him for a long time. Now I know. He bought the Wildgoose from me in Seattle. People used to ask me what happened to The Goose and I used to tell him that it flew south for the Winter and didn't come back. I wonder where it (and Windsor) is now.
I was at the 2002 event. The cop car that I bought a year later was there and the Wildgoose that I had sold to Windsor was there, as was Windsor.

Windsor Coffin. Haven't seen him since I hauled 2 Mokes and a Mini sedan and wagon from his place, back in 2006. Yes, he had some great Minis, but did seem to start selling them off after he got married. He sold the Wildgoose, and like I said, the 2 OZ Mokes I hauled away. Also while I was there he offered me a killer deal on the Mini sedan (roller) and a stripped out wagon shell. I ended up taking the sedan and wagon to a friend's house in Miami, dropped them and went back to Windsor's to get the Mokes. Normally I would have gone all the way home with one set of vehicles, but Windsor said the deal had to be done and gone that day. I returned to Key Largo, loaded the Mokes and took them home. See photo. Ah, the days of hauling one in the bed of a truck and one on a trailer...

correct.  He had not seen those wheels in a long time but thankfully he remembered where they were, found them after a little digging.
I made some progress today, found nothing wrong with the carb, turned out to be a dead spark plug.  New plugs, motor happy.

That Police Car, OKD 697F, has been living in Seattle since May 2003. Any smoke bomb would have had to have been before then. Smoke bomb under a Mini. Not too funny. Now, the oil under the MINI, that's a bit different.

I need more early Mini parts like a hole in the head but on the For Sale site here there were two sets of four wheels in Zero Beach, not that far. OK, the ad is a year old but they think they might still have 10" wheels somewhere.  So I went there today, the Minilite clones were gone but I scored two 4-wheel sets with A008s, a set of Revolutions and a set of Roadmax so happy with that , plus a spare Revolution plus a spare Cosmic, so now a couple of cars will not have a mismatching spare wheel in the trunk.   ( Always liked the Cosmic MKIIs on my long-lamented 67S but hard to keep clean.)  The proprietor was nice enough to give us the nickel tour, zillion dollar race cars everywhere.  He asked me about my Minis, I mention this year I intend to get at least one back on the road and of course... he knows Dion.  D.J. gets around.

Jacksonville with the infamous Mini tug of war "funkana" contest where a Bini owner blew his transmission, there is/was a video of it on You Tube.

EDIT: It was 2007 maybe not the same event.
