If it's gold and also has 13" Sportspack alloy wheels, it could very well have a been a superficial rebuilt involving a few rivets...
The Innocenti 1300 Export is a special enough as it is.

Yeah, the pickup has an 850 sedan VIN, with the typical "5" where it should have an S. Also, like someone said, it's either missing a number or it's from a 1960 or 61 sedan. At least it's already in the country and not crossing through US Customs.

Yeah but it has the ultra rare one piece rear bumper

Here's another Mini with a fake VIN. It seems to be part saloon Cooper Sish but no part PU and the car number is one digit short or the year is wrong.

Is it just me or does anyone else see the problem with an Innocenti VIN stamped into a plate that says: Austin Morris Group, British Leyland UK Ltd? A real Innocenti will have that VIN stamped into the RH inner fender. Unlike a real Knightsbridge w/Injection that has the VIN in the gutter... Like my previous statement, I sure wouldn't want to send that through US Customs! Good luck in your endeavors, and remember that the Customs agents wear a badge and carry a gun...just sayin' (for a friend)

Rebuilt with a Mini Knightsbridge interior and injected engine. Does it have the airbag steering wheel and front radiator? Hope it's in the US already, as I'd hate to bring that thru US Customs...

If the quarter Lite side windows are pinned shut, it was a German Export Model

Thanks. That helps a lot. This is a really unique car as it was rebuilt in Holland around 15 years ago using all the interior and powerplant from a Mini Knightsbridge edition. So it has the 1.3 litre fuel injected engine and a full leather and burled Walnut interior.

That VIN appears to be for an Innocenti, perhaps a Cooper 1300 Export built in late '74 or so? (ie: the Italian-assembled Minis)

Experts, do I have that right?

Do you have photos? What does the dash look like?

I'm trying to decipher a Mini data plate for a friend of mine. Any body tell me anything about this car from this data plate info ?
It reads: Austin Morris Group, British Leyland UK Ltd, Car No. B39/7-560057.  What date was it built and where?
