I have a 2007 Mini Cooper S, N14 engine. If you follow the Valve Cover "PCV Hose" it takes you to the intake manifold. However, there is this hole that is located just above the "PCV hose" in the intake manifold side. I don't know what it is or what it does. From my experience, I would think its a vacuum line. SO I pulled out a 1/2 inch hose and a bolt at the end of the hose to block it from doing anything.

I found this hole because I'm throwing code

P2178 - Fuel Trim Limit Exceeded System Too Rich. (I would think it's because of a vacuum leak somewhere) so that is why I blocked it off. But Still throwing code after erasing it.

If you have any information on what it is or my code i'm throwing please help. Thank you
