The car actually did not meet the Reserve of 50k but BAT paid the difference to show the car as sold. A little known trick they use.

It is a fantastic car.... all the boxes checked !
There are a few real anal types on there that can't wait to pick up on an error in someones comments ( even typos ), or argue about a trivial thing......a little like MM at times...lol

As you certainly know, BAT is THE place to sell an unrestored Cooper S, based on previous sales. Your car is right up there with the best of what's been on BAT already, and should bring out the buyers.

I have seen it in person and Jeff, you have a really nice original Cooper S! Saddens me to see you sell it and me not enough money to bring it to my place. If potential buyers know what to look for on a genuine, solid MK1 Cooper S, the hammer price should be very high! Good luck with the auction!
