Correct Doug January 1966 the right hand tank became standard fitment on all S's.

They were optional on S's for the first few years, and I would assume on Coopers too - anyone can fit one.

If this was "only" a Cooper, why does it have twin tanks? I thought that was only on the "S"

Yes, agree, very good, odd tho, it was a cooper and not a cooper S. And it was going great until for some stupic reason they just had to invoke a BINI MINI for whatever pathetic reason

edit note; the word stupid above is spelled correctly in mini speak' as was conceived by BC when he made his now famous quote “ARE YOU STONED OR JUST PLAIN STUPIC”, it would have gone unnoticed but after he had a 100 t-shirts made up with the quote showing “STUPIC”, it will liven in eternity, unfortunately
