I never use my phone to look at the forum, but I just tried and you're right, it's pretty annoying. Whatever software is being used obviously isn't very good at optimizing for mobile devices. One thing you can do if you have Chrome browser on your phone is hit the settings tab and check "Desktop Site." At least then you can see the whole website and zoom in when you want to read a post. Whatever browser iPhone uses probably has the same option.

Another challenge is to try and post from  my Samsung cellphone. All I can see is the keyboard, the blue toolbar and my browser's address header. To view the message, I have to rotate to portrait to see any of it, then back again to pan across the message to read it.

Correct. My search was for forum posts containing "front wheel bearings." When you searched "front wheel bearings" using the default you should have gotten 200+ forum posts, plus 5 products, plus 25 articles. The default search function returns any and all posts, articles and parts containing any of the search words front and/or wheel and/or bearings. What good is that? I tried searching with and without quotes (") on the search string "front wheel bearing" and it made no difference. Pretty lame.

I did open the site on my cell this morning and agree space becomes very limited with the floating top banner and the new toolbar at the bottom. I think the top banner would be better scrolling out of site.

The same search found me five items both on the old and the new Search.

As long as we're whining about the forum software, is anyone else disappointed by the SEARCH function? Seems like it hits on any and all of the words in a search string. I was looking for forum posts on "front wheel bearings." The search return over 200 posts containing the words front, or wheel or bearings. Same thing searching for parts. Useless.

Yeah, I noticed the new bar (on my laptop)along the bottom of the page. At least they did away with links to assorted social media (Twitter, FB etc.). They've finally gone the way of CB radio, thank goodness. Haven't checked my cell phone yet.

To me is kind of redundant having the same functions at the top and bottom. As Doug says, they take too much space and it makes it more difficult to read the messages. Too much information at once,
cheers

Yes I had all that happened at the same time, and have lost the ability to see if anyone has replied to a post, as well as response count when on the apple cell. I can see these things on the right side with a pc.

I was bitching to my wife earlier today that they have updated the web software.  This time a fixed icon bar appears across the bottom inch or so of screen (Home, Shop, Search...) and the Mini Mania logo bar appears across even larger across the top of the screen.  On my laptop that equates to losing about 1/2 the screen to things I don't want to see.

I seem to have lost a ability to see the right side of the posts in the forum section on my apple cell 2 days ago, just me?
