Jaguar days friend of Dad's has a really great story about his "wife's" Cooper S. He was on his way back from Mid-Ohio on a straight bit of route 42. After he saw the flashing blue lights in his rearview he looked down and saw he was doing 110. Didn't realize he was going that fast and got out of it.

I've succumbed too...
Black 2005 R53 supercharged S. Reminds me of my old Metro GTi but much much faster.

Yeah, what Whee said.
Is it marketed as a non-Cooper? (Thinking about the advent of the Mini 1275GT way back when.)
The sad thing about MINI in Canada is that they only market MINI Cooper models, making the economy car concept pretty distant.

We've been there 5 yrs........but..........we don't kid ourselves that these modern ones are our parents/grandparents Minis...........not at all.
They've proven to be (knock on wood) 2 reliable DD cars with good gas mileage and better looks and colours than most "bars of soap" (shaped) cars out there on the roads today.

~ 30 minutes in a Mini is more therapeutic than 3 sessions @ the shrink. ~
