Those look like HS2s. The manifold number is for a Mk3 -S.
I defer to others on the fit of those aftermarket air filters with/around your brake master.
EDIT: My cat sat on the keyboard and entered about 100 carriage returns. Darn cat.
On closer examination... those are probably HS4 carbs. Google for images. The HS2s will appear narrower and taller than what is shown in your pictures.

Not sure why I still get confused on what carb is what carb.
pretty sure I have a set of 1.5 hs2 carbs that is what the guy said when I bought them and that is the rebuild kit I bought and everything seemed to fit.
the manifold has 12 g 2463 stamped on it.
in the up loaded photo does the master look to be on wrong? and is that an hs2 carb

Once you replace everything that is attached to something else. It will all be fixed.

The last time I ran into this issue I found the brake master was installed backwards and I hope it was as hard to put in as it was to remove. Steve (CTR)

Look for the number on the intake manifold. You may have one for an Austin America or similar which looks the same but puts the carbs at the wrong angle. You should not have to fight to get the carbs on.
EDIT: Also, please post which carbs you have installed, HS2, HS4, HIF, etc.

I now have twin carbs on my 1976 cdn mini. also has a 1275 engine in it.
the big problem is that the left/front carb (closest to rad) is hitting the brake master. it lays right against it.
I am not sure if the first float bowl had a crack in it before I put it on or after I drove it for a little bit.
I was told that the carbs came off a mini but boy is it hard to get them on. very tight fit around the exhaust and rests on the brake master.
should I change the dog bone to a longer one? do they come in different lengths?
