MINI Cooper Fuel Pump

When your fuel pump is making noisy loud clinking sounds it is for sure time to replace it.  A weak fuel pump will also result in a lower fuel pressure than the fuel injectors need to operate efficiently. Not only will this result in poor performance but could also cause the fuel mixture to go lean and actually burn a hole in a piston.  When the car will not start without turning the ignition on and off a couple time, it also is likely the fuel pump is about to fail.
