It does not squeak in any of the other gears. It is only in first when I let out the clutch. The clutch does not feel spongy or anything. It just squeaks. Also, the squeaking is not consistent because it does not happened every time I am in first gear. From watching YouTube videos, I heard it is possibly the throw out bearings. I am not sure. Did any of you have this issue before? If so, what was it?
I'm going to assume the 'squeak' is coming from the transmission and not the pedal / linkage.

A couple things come to mind:

1.  Maybe it is the lever assembly that pushes the throwout bearing against the pressure plate (or the throwout bearing itself)

2.  I could be noise from the friction between the clutch disc and the flywheel.

How many miles on the clutch?

Ken
