Sadly no, after I sold the bar "Call The Office" in 1989, we pretty well junked everything after a while. Posters, adverts etc

We also played Blue Rodeo at the same period, 1983-1989, also at $500.00 a nite, keep in mind these Bands were just starting up and we were on a "BAR" circuit playing up and coming bands & as a "University " type bar we were their perfect venue

I should also say that as well as University of Western Ontario students we catered to Fanshawe college students as well

The $500.00 fee also included free beer for the Band members for the nite, We had live music 6 nites a week, that's' were l got my gray hair from LOL

That's crazy Big Al.. That you owned a bar, first of all, and second of all, they played there? Any memorabilia kicking around from that show?

Darren, those grapes are grown just down the road from me. I will bring a bottle with me, the next time I come to the Glen. Cheers

Had a fire in the back yard last night, blasting Hip tunes. Had some of my Hip friends come over (we've been going to shows together, and going to see the documentary). Opened a couple bottles of "Fully Completely" Red, had my Man Machine Poem shirt on, and reminisced about all the times we'd seen Gord, and his rants and stories between/during songs. Here's our new lab, named after him.

Darren, it is a sad day in Canada. Thanks for the kind words. Gord and the Hip, helped us know our selfs and our Country. I am glad that the Hip spoke to you as well. When I next run into you at the Glen, the drinks are on me. RIP Gord.

Yes, very sad,Gord gone at 53

A real Canadian treasure

He and his band "Trajically Hip" played my bar in London, Ontario back in the eighties, $500.00 a gig back then, what a bargain

They were a University band that got started at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario

Most, If not all the Canadians here know who he is. I've seen him in countless shows, and was in Toronto for the last of his concerts. I remember seeing him in a dive bar in Rochester NY in the early 1990's, and was hooked then. Going to see the documentary "Long Time Running" in early November in a small local theatre here. The new pup was named after him.

RIP Gord.
