Yep, and I still have it (though it's been sitting a while. I bent the hood after forgetting to buckle the straps down and I haven't gotten around to repairing it yet.)
I think that happened to me once, when I had it, or maybe it was the crazy guys the delivered it to me from Jimfais?  They had drawn cocks and balls all over the thing, including the side windows during the delivery.

Jim, same thing happened to me, lost my pics on a dead hard drive. No cloud back then.  I looked around to see if I had any duplicates, no luck so far. I'll send anything I find.

DAEK was a sweet car, would have preferred to keep, but kids college bills needed clearing, sold for 23k, IIRC?   I reckon it would fetch 30+ now, based on just a few peeps at what people are asking or paying.  Great memories driving the Tail of the Dragon with Alex and Suzy, and Alex could not do the clutch right, kept grinding gears.  He took a great bunch of videos of that, but I don't tend to collect that stuff.

bill foster here, still alive and well. [email protected], or [email protected].

Despite what Bill Cox a well know liar says, I Never swept a warehouse for health insurance, but it's a fact that Bill Cox delivered pizzas for it.

I manage a 6,000 sq. ft. Tool Crib at the Machine Repair Dept. of a major mil-spec military contractor, and my health care is way better than Bill Cox was at Pizza Hut.....

Jim,  I remember your Vauxhall; what a rocket that was!!  Two mates drove it here from Mini-Sota, straight through in 2 and a half days. Sold it on to a guy worked for Microsoft, and he drove it all the way back to the left coast, with very little drama..

Bill Cox wishes his customers could have been so happy!

Anyone remember the famous "hairlip mini", famous Bill Cox promo resto?

I remember that old 200 year pub in Essex CT, What a great spot, so much history in there

When l was in Essex on one occasion, he took me over to Kathleen Hepburns' home which he had listed for $3million, right on the water, I think l saw Spencer Tracey's ghost running around

Another trip to Essex delivering 2 minis to Bill and l dropped my tranny in my Dodge Ram, no problem, left it a Suzuki dealer, new crate tranny, came back in a week, paid $3800. and picked it up-(no profit on that trip)

Of course l also dropped a tranny in my previous Dodge Ram in western Minnesota 2 years ago, sold the truck beside the road, hitch hiked up to Winnipeg Manitoba, bought a new Dodge Ram, Hemi 5.7 and carried on to Calgary to complete my trip

Tell me again why l keep buying Dodge products

I think he was really getting into boat racing at the time he exited the Mini community, from what my feeble memory recalls.

I seem to remember Bill Foster really got into boats? (I think he already was into them, but even more so after de-emphasizing cars?) Not sure if I remember that right, but that's what comes to mind.

Didn't he take a regular job with benefits somewhere after the real estate bubble burst.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

I also have been trying to find out the whereabouts of Bill Foster formerly of Essex CT

Bill was a great guy who always prided himself with having a nice mini in his possession
