Do you have any ideas for me?  The clutch isn't hard to push and nothing seems out of normal.

What brand of clutch was installed?  MINI factory part or other?

Is the clutch slave from MINI or an aftermarket part?

Plastic can do that in the heat...my son says Chevy S10 cast iron slaves solve the problem...but, alas, adds weight.

The plastic bits are not so much of a problem in Canada.  My son always has a spare for his own Cooper S and always replaces slaves when doing clutches, flywheels on other Modern MINIs.
