The factory one that converts a rhd Mini to lhd just the same as the new ones advertised in the classifieds.

malsal,
The pedal box extender as described in previous posts, or a standard pedal box for a LHD car?
Thanks,
Tom

I believe it will. Either way, I am deleting the heater and upgrading a vintage air-type AC+heater unit. So, it shouldnt matter (note, I dont know the dimensions of my kit yet, but I believe the depth is shorter than the original heater).'

Nice piece of kit! But I have to ask "will it fit behind the heater, and where do the heater hoses come in?"
.
"Hang on a minute lads....I've got a great idea."

Good point. At the very least, it allows for me to add a brake booster as well.

I think in the whole scheme of things when adding a supercharger, it really isn't that bad, considering the rarity of those parts. (I have no connection with the seller, just an observation)

Yes, right on! Thank you. I will inquire. This is a bit pricey, maybe I can talk him down a pinch.

Is he referring to balance bar with heim joints that connects LHD brake pedal to a RHD master cylinder ?

Thanks for the reply Murray.
I thought about either trying a different master, making my own remote setup, or modifying the current master. Fortunately the clutch master has plenty of room, but my fiancé insists on having brakes as well. Even if I had a different master I don't think it would fit. Relocation is the best scenario if I want to use the supercharger I think.
I saw a few images online of some homemade units. I worry that they won't have the same response or reliability as a more factory/ trustworthy built unit.

Tom
that hardware is actually quite dear, though common enough in Europe. I have considered using it just as you describe. I think it is intended specifically for the horizontal master cylinder brake booster combo unit, which is awesome, but takes up a lot of space. You could probably adapt it to a simpler master cylinder. Talk to all of the mini parts vendors to see if they have one.
I was in Europe a few years ago and brought a few sets back. I used one and sold the others. When another person wanted a system, I called the fellow who sold them to me and he had tripled his price. I did not buy any more.
Would you be able to fit the clutch master on the left side still? You could use a different clutch master with a remote reservoir to give a bit more room.

Hi folks,
I recently purchased an Eaton supercharger from a fellow Mini-Mania user for my Mk1 LHD Mini. Going into the project I knew that I would have an issues with space due to the location of the brake master cylinder, as the supercharger will not seat due to the location of this cylinder.
Not long ago I saw a kit that allowed you to use a RHD brake master cylinder in a LHD vehicle. It was essentially a metal bracket attached to the brake pedal box that rotated whenever the pedal was depressed. On the opposite end was a bearing that manipulated the plunger on the master cylinder in the RHD slot. Is anyone aware of this kit or if something like it is availble? I am not savvy enough to develop my own.
Any other ideas to allow the to fit on a LHD mini?
Thanks,
Tom Crenshaw
