Depending on what your gauge looks like.. Sounds like the system is over charged and or a plugged orifice.

You may need to have an AC shop evacuate the system before you can add refrigerant....

Hi, guys!  I am wondering if anyone could offer some advice.  A couple of days ago I attempted to recharge my a/c and connected the gauge to the low port with engine running and a/c on full blast with max a/c.  The temperature blows hot even though the compressor engages.  I attached the hose/gauge to the low port and it immediately goes into the red reading.  So, I am unable to introduce the refrigerant into the system.  If everything is working as it should, why am I receiving this reading?  Any words of wisdom are welcome.  Thanks!
