All, I hope you'll still be able to come out and check this great party.

Rick, I'm sorry to hear you won't be able to come down, and, of course, of the continuing bad health for her.
We'll miss having two yellow Clubman Vans in the same "Meet".  Hopefully others from Vancouver area can join us.
I've got some shiny new bits on mine, and am looking forward to blinding people in the bright sun!

Best,
MSH

Regret that I can not come down Chuck.

My Daughter-in-law is gravely ill, in hospital here and her future is uncertain...as are the schedules for immediate family.

Mark H. will need to stand in with his Aussie Window Van.

Sadly I may not be driving the Mini next weekend   It has been having an issue with starting after being warm.  Usually 5sec of cranking will get it going.  But I was going to drive it on Wednesday and it refuses to start.  Tried yesterday and today too.  Checked spark, kinda flimsy but there.  Plugs look a bit on the lean side and when I did my exhaust it looked a bit lean too.  Even after several cranks between 1sec to 20sec I don't even get a sputter.  And plugs come out dry, no gas smell from exhaust either.  I am wondering if there is any way to clean or check the injector.  My guess is a lack of fuel getting to the engine.

If you know anyone with SPI experience and you can get them to help this weekend I would love to drive out and say hi for the meet.  I never called to register since I started having my issue.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!  If you haven't yet signed up, give the site a try anyway and pursue coming out to this great party!
It would be a shame to have folks not show because they saw a deadline had passed, and now wouldn't even try.

Go On, Give it a try!

See ya here!

Where and what time is the meet at?  I was flagged down at my local Lowe's by Mark who said he has an Aussie van.  My wife and I are celebrating our 1yr anniversary on the Lake Washington dinner cruise but I would love to swing by first and say hi.

Congrats in holding it together for that long!!  We had a great club run into the ground by the "new regime"  now it's a facebook club, longevity is very hard.

Wish I was closer!

The Seattle Area Mini Owners Association was officially formed in 1967. Although the name goes back to late 1963 and people had been meeting for some time, the first "official" meeting was not held until March of '67.

On Saturday, August 12th, current and former club members as well as non-member Mini owners will be gathering for a 50th Anniversary celebration and picnic. We had 72 Minis at the 40th celebration and hope for even more this time.

If you are in the area and want to participate let me know.

A 50th blog has been started. As more information is available it will be posted there. https://samoa50thanniversary.wordpress.com/
