US dollar to the GB pound was 1.28 yesterday the highest it has been since Brexit, before Brexit it was around 1.45.
Time to buy stuff from the UK if you are spending US dollars.

The calculation of the GBP to USD is where the $1.22 comes from.
Of course the CDN to USD is .74
So one USD = $1.35 CDN
The GBP to CDN is hovering around $1.65 CDN.

Before BREXIT it was $1.90

Politics aside it's a great time to buy parts for our toys...

Damn…it's been on a fairly steady climb….now $1.64….maybe should have pulled the trigger @ $1.57

CDN $ is now around 74 cents to the almighty US Dollar, but looks to slip lower (hurray) as Donald J Trump performs his magic on all world currency

This is good news for our few remaining manufactures who export their widgets into the U S A

How could you not make a horrendous profit if you have a 33% advantage over your American competitors

Formula: use CDN natural resources (wood, wheat, coal, fertilizer, iron ore or anything grown or found in Canada,) assemble it or mfg it, sell it to the U S A, collect American greenbacks, pay your taxes and retire in Florida-

That is the Canadian dream

While not the pound, but the strength of the US dollar has helped me on my project.

When I started in 2015, it was $1 to N150, today it is $1 to N500

And since at least the Reagan administration, economic policy in the US has sought to de-value the US dollar for that very reason!  Problem is much of the rest of the world has done a better job of burning down their own currency, so most of what we feel here is a lower standard of living.  Same for UK residents... the weaker pound should help most people, except if you travel outside the country.

Stay tuned (if anyone really says that anymore!), Mini Mania is revamping our pricing to reflect the new reality.  We're taking steps to keep you from having to risk the headaches of international shipping!!

Better pull that trigger now spitz !!!! It is already at around $1.22 but that figure as always whether dealing with a bank or supplier is hard to get. My last order that came in around Christmas was $1.27 still a whole lot better than the close to 2 to 1 i paid years ago.

I am excited that parts are going to be cheaper.  I plan on spending my bonus check on the SPI exhaust kit and cat delete pipe.  $250 plus 4 day shipping from Britain is hard to beat.

Although it made me sad when I first heard the pound dropped.  I had bought my radiator for $143 and after brexit I could have gotten it for $133   Only $10, but that could buy me a shiny new Rover badge or a couple oil filters.

Yes Alex, it's a wonderful place.  I was aware of all currencies lagging the dollar but surprised with the new low.

Heard from some Brits visiting that the banks were trading at 1.18 which makes sense when you consider their "cut". The USA is not as cheap of a place to visit anymore.
