It is weird, we do not drive the car much at all, but, sometimes there is a small accumulation and other times not. It has been off and on not consistent and it is small quantities IE: one paper towel will clean it up.

Well I for sure would check ALL of your fluid levels as apparently it's been leaking for 1.5 years now

It is a Blue Green lite weight oil slight oil smell, very faint, I can not find where it is coming from. It is definitely and oil of some kind. Seem to originate from some upper part of the engine on the back side of the engine opposite the side the oil filter is on.

My guess is based upon your color description, it sounds like tranny oil.  Is your S a five speed, six speed or auto?  With your fingers, rub the oil and compare how thick it is to the oil off the dipstick.  The tranny oil is thicker yet usually cleaner, less dark.

I have a 2005 MINI S Convertible.

There is a very small pool of blue green oil under the cooper, is this tranny oil or something else? The color is throwing me off.
